Nooka
Nooka is a company that designs and manufactures fashion accessories for the eyes of the present for fashion of the future. They pride themselves in not allowing the past experiences, designs, and communications to look like the future. This type of mindset or Mindstyle is what drives Nooka to be a breakthrough company with many unique futuristic styles in a growing product lines.
Founded in 2005, Nooka is the brainchild of Matthew Waldman. It was established after
Seiko watches discontinued support of its sub brands. Nooka’s corporate values as well as how and why they develop products are listed in Nooka’s manifesto or the Nookafesto. Nookafesto starts with Universal Communication. Nooka values open communication and believes that with each design, it is able to communicate in a language viewed by your eyes. Next up is Passion. Passion flows through every creative Nooka watch design as they believe that keeping up to date with technology assists in communicating with you, the customer. Anything is possible says the staff at Nooka. Nooka believes in Interaction, interaction with everything we touch and its possibility for improvement. It is this Mindstyle that allows Nooka to create Purpose, purpose to create useful objects. The last two commandments listed in the Nookafesto is Inspiration and Futurism. That is, everything in the world can and is inspiration, to see only the future, leaving the past, the past.
Nooka Watches
Nooka’s flagship products are without a doubt its futuristic digital watches. Nooka currently features 8 unique styles of watches; ZUB, V SERIES, ZIRC, YOGURT, ZEM, ZAZ, COLLAB, and DEIVANT DESIGN GROUP. Within each distinctive future forward watch style, are variations in color as well as time display where the hour, minute, and second marker may be a digital dot, box, or number. The latest addition to the Nooka watch line is the YOGURT edition featured in the video above. The presentation is, needless to say, out of this world.
